Patty Fletcher Executive Chef
I have always loved food, recipes, and cooking. In my childhood diary, while some kids my age were probably writing about their future hopes and dreams, I was recording what I had for dinner. It was no surprise when I went to college that I majored in "Food and Nutrition-Dietetics" and spent the first 30 of my working years as an RD (registered dietitian). About 6 years ago I was introduced to scrapbooking and loved it so much that my husband and I purchased a small scrapbook store to work in together as our "second careers". My love for cooking combined with my love for scrapbooking became a perfect match in scrapbooking recipes as treasured family memories. As many say, the kitchen is the heart of the home. Recipe scrapbooking quickly became my favorite way to share special family moments with my wonderful son and daughter and their spouses. With my second grandson on the way, you can expect to see lots of fun, family recipes added to the site. Our Cookbookin'™ line lets us help you preserve your family's recipe heritage, too!
Barbara Eager Assistant of Executive Chef
I have collected cookbooks since I was in my 20’s! I have hundreds and have given many away. I can spend hours reading recipes….occasionally I cook, too! I grew up loving food and family around the dinner table and as the oldest of five children I love table conversations….all of them! My mom was a great cook. Her every day meals always delicious and holidays were a special treat with heaps of tasty food for family and friends. My dad prepared a “specialty” once or twice a year, and, of course, we made a big deal of it! My husband and I enjoy spending time together cooking, baking, and grilling. I am retired military, and yes, early in my career I pulled KP!
My wife and I, Patty, (the “P” in PJK) purchased a small scrapbook store in San Antonio Texas 5 years ago. With 30+ years experience in sales, marketing and production I planned to be the man behind the scenes, focusing on financials and operations. In virtually no time I was much more involved in the daily operations of the store than I ever thought I would be. In fact, I now even help to develop and teach classes at the store! At PJK Designs, our mission is to support the independent retailers as much as possible. I believe my knowledge as a store owner will help the company respond to the requirements of other store owners and the marketing force we have in place.
